Fixed Gear Revolution 3 is upon us!

The Fixed Gear Revolution 3 is right NOW!!! It is going to be the biggest, hottest and best fixed gear bike event!! Hope you are getting prepared!! See you there!!

Events for this week:

Tue Aug 16th 7:30pm > Olympic Forest Ride – Last practice before the competition!
Meet at the shop and we ride to the Olympic Forest Park at 7:30pm. It will be the last chance to practice before the competition on 18th! If you want to win, come with us!

Wed Aug 17th 9am > Bike Trick Practice – Get some tips for the FGC3?
Meet at Ditan Park West Gate 9am, let’s do some bike tricks! It sounds like a pretty good idea to get some tips from Ines the bike queen just before the Fixed Gear Competition 3.

Wed Aug 17th 6pm > Bike Polo
Meet at the shop at 5:45pm or at Ditan Park West Gate 6pm. Crazy polo heat continues!

Fri Aug 19th > Rest well and get ready for the Revolution!
Eat well, drink well, rest well, get you and your bike prepared!

Sat Aug 20th All day > Fixed Gear Revolution 3!
If you have a race or competition, please be there 30 mins in advance. But you need to register (especially for the alleycat). The main event location is the Societe Generale Bank North Square (East of “The Place”), Chaoyang District.

Fixed Gear Revolution 3 is upon us right now! This week! It’s gonna be a great party! Bring your bike and your friends!

Conquer the Hills
On Thursday the 11th, Ines and the other 3 kiddos rode their bikes for a long long trip. On Fixed gear bikes they crossed rivers and even conquered mountains to get to the Huang Hua Cheng Great Wall! One of the girls wore a dress, but that didn’t stop her. Instead she rode so hard that her leggings ripped! These guys really proved that you don’t need a fancy road bike and lycra to enjoy the mountains outside of Beijing. Riding a fixed gear bike in the mountains gives intense feeling of being attached to the road. It is exhilarating! Anybody in old Beijing shoes and shirt can ride to the mountains. Just try it!


Ciao Belli
Last weekend was filled with tears and smiles. Tears for our dear friends Laurell and Kaowen who are going back to London. At least they’ll have plenty of fixed gear riders there to make friends with when they miss Natooke and riding around Beijing!

Fred provided the smiles when he came back with all his luggage after cycling in Mongolia. But we don’t know whether to laugh or cry at his half broken mountain bike. It’s a surprise he made it back in one piece. And you should have seen the smile on his face when he did his first ride again on a fixed gear bike.


New Bikes
1st:: Red plus black, a very classic and strong combination! And the owner is a solider girl!
2nd: Another nice combination of color, it turned out even better than we thought!
3rd: Orange bike reborn! After some new parts, it looks like a new new bike!
4th: Dupree’s new polo & trick bike! So now the old bike can be the pursuit bike and this will be the fun bike!


Revolution Prizes
Natooke is sponsoring some good stuff as prizes for the Fixed Gear Revolution 3! The highlight is of course the Flying Banana frame hand made of the Italian Columbus tubing and the 42mm and 50mm deep rims! Also there are Flying Banana crank sets, bullhorn bars and super light cog and lockrings. Plus some bullet bars and transparent platform pedals.
