Fixie Picnic & Korea Exchange

Dear all,

We are doing the last preparations for the Asia Fixed Gear Championships (AFGC) which will be May 28th & May 29th in Shenzhen. We have a group of riders from Beijing representing the capital of China. Good luck to all those participating.

IMPORTANT: The Natooke employees will be going there so that means no one is in the shop so therefore we will have the Natooke shop closed on both Saturday May 28th as well as Sunday May 29th. Sorry for the inconvenience.

To practice some last tricks and improve the backward circles for AFGC we will meet on Thursday May 26th morning at 8:30am at the huge wooden gate outside of the Ditan Park west gate. Others are also welcome to join or watch.

Fixie Picnic Weekend!
On May 14th I was in Seoul at a really fun event called the Fixie! Picnic Weekend! It is the biggest fixed gear event in South Korea. It was so fun because it was not with hardcore races and competitions, it was actually more a gathering of fixed gear riders. Over 400 fixed gear riders came to the event.

China-Korea Exchange
Cnergy China invited Natooke rider Ines and Star Track members to visit Korea from May 13rd to 17th. They have attended the Fixie Picnic Weekend and visited fixed gear and fashion shops in Korea. More mutual visits between fixed gear riders in China and Korea are expected in future so as to promote the Asia-wide exchange on fixed gear.

Korea Fixed Gear Girls
In Korea there are so many girls riding fixed gear bikes. And guess what? The whole event Fixie Picnic Weekend originated and every year is fully organized by the “Fixed Gear Girls 2” group. Keep it up girls!
Let’s get more girls on bikes in other places of the world especially in China!
